A native Texan with origins in Cuba and Israel, Dr. Glaun graduated with honors from Stanford University with a B.S. in Science, Technology and Society and a B.A. in Anthropology, focusing on the cultural impacts of medicine. She obtained her M.D. at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Her otolaryngology residency training spanned across six hospital systems within the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston where she served privately insured patients as well as under and uninsured patients, veterans and children. She trained at the largest pediatric hospital in the country, Texas Children's Hospital. She completed her fellowship in head and neck surgical oncology at the world renowned University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She then served as faculty at the University of South Tampa within Tampa General Hospital before joining ENTAAF in Boca Raton. Her research, including involvement with clinical trials, has been published widely within high impact journals such as Science.
With two family members affected by head and neck cancer, Dr. Glaun approaches her practice not only with great skill but also sincere empathy for patients and their families. When surgery is not the answer or when additional treatment is needed, Dr. Glaun partners with radiation and medical oncologists to ensure her patients receive the highest standard of multidisciplinary care. Innovative and culturally sensitive care is at the forefront of Dr. Glaun’s clinical practice.
Dr. Glaun is the medical director of Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at Boca Regional Hospital and the Lynn Cancer Institute, and is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Society as well as the American Head and Neck Society.
