Iván Pérez Hernández graduated as a General Physician in Cuba in 1996 and worked as a family doctor for two years in community areas. He emigrated to Mexico where he revalidated his studies as a general practitioner - qualified as a Midwife Surgeon, later in 2003, he completed a fellowship in ophthalmology at Hadera City, with the support of Hadassah University, from which he graduated as a general ophthalmologist. He returned to Mexico for 3 years and emigrated to the United States later. In 2012, he began his studies in Nursing Sciences and completed his Master's Degree in nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Turabo University in Broward County, Florida. 

Mr. Hernández is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in Family Medicine. He joined the Portela ENT group in Miami in 2018. As an integral member of our team, his goal is to provide greater access to high-quality specialized care with the same standard and style of care as Dr. Rafael Ramón Portela and Dr. Rafael Antonio Portela, since he collaborates closely in patient care.

Amanda Sapp, APRN, FNP is a nurse practitioner, board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She’s a native of Northwest Florida. She obtained her nursing degree in 2008 and later obtained her masters degree in nursing from South University in 2017. Throughout her 16 year nursing career she’s worked in emergency medicine, orthopedic trauma, family medicine and gastroenterology.

Amanda has been providing care as a nurse practitioner to the residents of Bay County and surrounding counties since 2018. She hopes to continue to provide evidence-based care along with her team, Dr. Brian Gibson and Britney Gore, APRN.

Clara is originally from Poughkeepsie, NY, and made her way down to Pennsylvania where she earned her undergraduate degree from Ursinus College in health and exercise physiology. She spent most of her time in the exercise research lab as well as at the pool, where she became an All-American swimmer in multiple events.

Prior to physician assistant (PA) school, she became acquainted with the medical field as a medical scribe in emergency departments, where she fell in love with medicine and realized the difference she could make in her patients’ lives.

She graduated PA school from West Chester University of Pennsylvania’s inaugural class, where she led her class as President and completed specific training in the field of otolaryngology (ENT). She capped off her studies with a master’s project focused on teaching her peers the approach to managing a patient with hearing loss. She began her ENT career in Gaithersburg, MD prior to moving to the Panhandle.

Clara currently lives in Niceville with her husband and dog. They enjoy swimming, hiking and exploring new restaurants with friends. Tara Feld is a dedicated Physician Associate, bringing her expertise to ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida since 2024. Tara earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland in 2014, followed by her Masters of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Hofstra University in 2016. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

After graduation, Tara practiced in trauma and acute care surgery at esteemed institutions such as NYU Langone Hospital in New York City. Her experience there honed her skills and instilled in her a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. With a firm belief in evidence-based medicine, Tara continually updates her knowledge to incorporate the latest clinical advancements into her practice.

Tara is a fellow of both the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Tara sees patients at our Boca Raton office. This office specializes in advanced surgery of the nose and sinuses as well as facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. We also offer the services of our state-of-the-art allergy center.
